The intended audience for this piece includes students taking anatomy courses in high school and higher education. The goals for this piece were to give accurate anatomical context while effectively capturing the pathos of the detrimental effects smoking has on the lungs.

A minimalist poster inspired by the pharmaceutical company Geigy’s iconic branding. Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the Philippines and among Filipino Americans. The incorporation of the native language, Tagalog, and the pre-colonial script, Baybayin, was a deliberate choice to engage Filipino audiences with the issue. Additionally, the pipe-like system alludes to increased blood pressure associated with heart disease.
